How do I know my word count?
In Microsoft Word, go to the Tools menu and click on Word count. The word count is taken from the document as you send it to us, not the word count after editing.
Why should I pay to have my work edited and proofread - I edit and proofread my own work?
Even the best writers can benefit from the assistance of an uninvolved party - a professional editor and proofreader. After you have spent weeks or months working on your manuscripts or thesis, moving paragraphs and chapters, rewriting and revising your words, you are subjective to your work and you can often miss the most obvious errors. A professional editor will assess it from the reader's point of view, make changes for better and improve the effectiveness of your writing.
Will you revise my work if I am not satisfied with your editing the first time?
Briz Editing ensures that the quality and standard of our work meet your requirements, but if you are not happy with the results, we will revise it at no extra cost as long as the revisions are within the boundaries of the original project. If you change your requirements, the additional charges may apply.
I am a student - should I send through criteria sheets and supporting materials?
Yes. We won't include it in the word count, but you must clearly mark those documents as supplementary materials that is not to be edited.
I am a student - do you guarantee high grades?
No. Your marks are also based on your content which is your responsibility. However, we believe that having your work error-free and your ideas presented to the highest quality standards will certainly help improve your grades.
I am a writer - do you offer a guarantee that my manuscript will be published after you edited it?
No. A manuscript edited to the highest standards will have a better chance to be published as correct structure and wording may help get the publisher's attention.
You have to be aware that the correct structure is just one among the other necessities that a publisher will expect to find in your writing - it will be entirely up to you and your ability to fulfill those expectations and create a work worth publishing. The professional editing will however, help you to make the most of your own work.
Do you keep my details and work confidential?
The confidentiality of our clients is of the highest importance to us. Under no circumstances will we disclose any information relating to you or your work to other parties.
